HFP Acoustical Consultants has provided their expertise in the acoustic design on the majority of pipeline systems in North America.  HFP have been involved in all aspects of the acoustic design, from noise impact assessments, conceptual and detailed compressor station design to commissioning and operation noise emission studies.  The studies have been carried out under the applicable FERC and NEB regulations.  Compressor stations have been designed to meet the highest possible standards with fenceline noise levels of 30 dBA being achieved at stations located adjacent to critical residential areas. From an engineering perspective, for new facility design or for existing facility retrofit, HFP is able to provide assistance to recommend noise control mitigating measures, so that our clients designs include the necessary engineering noise controls. 

HFP typically works along with the pipeline company's in-house engineering staff or their contract consultants, providing order-ranked equipment treatment priorities, detailed conceptual sketches, recommendation of specialty vendor products, and tender specifications.
