Exploration and Production
HFP performs quality acoustical services for gas storage facilities, drilling operations and gathering facilities. HFP works in all aspects of the acoustic design, from noise impact assessments, conceptual and detailed compressor station design to commissioning and operation noise emission studies. We have an intimate working knowledge of the COGCC, FERC and NEB noise regulations.
HFP is at the forefront of the rapidly expanding Marcellus Shale and Haynesville Shale markets. We help our clients navigate the existing patchwork of noise regulations, or the lack thereof, throughout these regions. We provide our clients with the expert advice they need in order to make well-informed, strategic decisions regarding noise level project goals. Our expertise lies not only in the technical aspects of noise control design and mitigation, but also in assessing and interpreting regulatory requirements. When the opportunity presents itself, we can also offer advice and guidance during the public comment phase of new noise regulation or ordinance drafting.
HFP has performed sound level measurements on drill rigs, at well head sites, compression, and gas truck and rail car loading facilities. We have presented our findings at county planning commission meetings as well as at public county commissioner meetings. HFP can recommend noise control mitigation measures for new facility design or for an existing facility retrofit. We can provide rank-ordered equipment treatment priorities, detailed conceptual sketches, recommendations of specialty vendor products and tender specifications.
